Courses for Online, Blended and Flipped Teaching

ICT in Education, information and communication technologies module concentrates on the essentials of online and virtual learning explaining and training on blended and flipped classroom applications in schools. These information and communication technologies are currently being used in education to assist students to learn more effectively by providing teachers with access to a wide range of new teaching methods. These technologies are also being used to enable teachers to do administrative tasks more efficiently.


This course is intended for teachers with a desire to increase their proficiency in using technology in the classroom, especially for those educators wishing to learn how to effectively integrate e-learning platforms to run along with their courses. The course content is not limited to teachers of a specific subject.

The training provides teachers with resources and various tools with which they can boost their e-learning content explaining the usage and giving tips concerning various ICT tools within, as well as, outside of classes.


This course is intended to help teachers develop an understanding of blended learning, including what it is and how it benefits students. Through many examples, they will consider how to create blended learning experiences for their students and what to address when designing these experiences.

In addition, they will see how technology tools can foster collaboration while delivering engaging instructional content. They will also learn strategies for assessing students and managing a blended learning classroom.


Flipping the classroom means that events that have traditionally taken place inside the classroom now take place outside the classroom and vice versa. Content delivery is done at home. Application, analysis and synthesis of information is done in class through activities and interactive teaching strategies.

This course aims to study the concept of flipped classroom presenting strategies to deliver flipped lessons in the most effective ways and ideas for engaging students in meaningful learning activities. Using technology to support pedagogy, participants will create lessons, and materials for students to use independently of the teacher in order to maximize the use of classroom time, as well as support differentiation and mastery learning.
